Speed up your blog with Google Analytics Asynchronous Tracking
Google announced this week that their asyncronous Google Analytics code is out of beta (announced for the first time when async analytics was launched last December).
Why this is awesome? Because if speeds up your website (by not preventing the page load)! (and comes with boatload of cool features for advanced users)
"It’s like having a nice, little pack of oompa-loompas helping you out with your tracking while your site gets to breathe a little easier and load a little faster." - Search Engine Land
Luckily, taking the new tracking code into use is easier than spelling asynchronous :) ...but you do need to do some tweaking, so check these guides for instructions:
- Get the simple instructions from Google Code: Tracking Sites with the Asynchronous Snippet.
- And another set of instructions on how to add asynchronous tracking guide to your site, from The Google Analytics blog.
- If you need more info, Google's asynchronous tracking guide has all the details and advanced instructions to things like tracking events.

p.p.s. I added async tracking to my own blog, and found awesomely optimized Analytics async code, taking speeding up to the extreme (just the way I like it)
